Tundra Steppe

Traveling through the Deep Forest and the forest thereafter will bring one to here, a flat and cold expanse of land. The tundra is a cold desert, the mountains in the distance blocking any moisture from reaching this plain. Of course, chances are any rain that does reach here would be frozen or snow. The winds here are dangerous, you better have a thick coat to get by.
